BAE Systems is seeking experienced AEGIS Anti-Surface Warfare Coordinator (ASUWC) to be part of our dynamic technical team, located in Wallops Island, VA at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC). The SCSC is located on a barrier island on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and is a tenant of the NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility. SCSC provides live combat systems suites with platform specific radars and sensors and supports the following functions: combat system lifetime support engineering, platform certification, operational and technical evaluation, combat system training, interoperability testing and participates in at-sea exercises. SCSC provides a high-fidelity representative combat system of every ship in the AEGIS, Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) fleet today and those planned in the future.

The selected candidate will:

A qualified candidate will possess the ability to operate the AEGIS Anti-Surface Warfare Coordinator (ASUWC) sub mode. Specifically, the ability to support ASUWC functions, to include operation of Gun Weapon Control Systems and associated Surface Search Radars in support of AEGIS Combat System Testing.





Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Education and years of related/relevant skills required: High School/GED and experience on-board an Aegis Platform, with a minimum of four years (may be concurrent) leading a team of technical/tactical operators engaged in the employment of Surface Weapon Systems in the support of Surface, Subsurface, Air, Strike, C4I, and Ballistic Missile Defense warfare areas as part of the Combat Systems Training Team (CSTT).

Also required:
Security clearance requirement: This position requires the successful candidate to be able to obtain a Secret level clearance. The criteria for obtaining and holding a clearance are driven by US government requirements. You must be a US citizen to obtain a security clearance. Selected candidate will receive a contingent offer with a delayed start date until an interim Secret clearance is granted.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Highly desired, but not required:
Active DoD security clearance
Experience in an RDT&E environment
Knowledge and experience with ACCESS and TRMS
Four years as an SSDS CSMM or CSSE
