Wood is searching for a Technical Service Specialist with experience in the oil and gas industry.

Work schedule of 5x2 in Hobbs, NM.

Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship required.

• Reviews project specifications and confer with managers to determine assistance required in plan preparation, evaluation of project conditions, design changes and reports.
• Develops and initiates methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
• Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of the assigned task.
• Coordinates or performs field work to gather data and materials.
• Performs research to support project task.
• Reviews and interprets data to prepare complex analyses and reports.
• Uses complex software applications to edit, manipulate and report project/production data.
• Performs complex calculations and analyses to support project objectives.
• Provides technical guidance to client or other project personnel.
• Interacts with client to ensure satisfactory customer service.
• Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during project/production activities.
• Performs quality control procedures.
• Creates client communications, invoices and cost estimates.
• Occasional to moderate travel may be required.
• Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members, management and clients.
• Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in project activities.
• Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required:

• Demonstrate competency in all types of lab testing
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry of equivalent Scientific Diploma
• Excellent computer skills
• Familiarity with continuous improvement techniques
• 5 years’ experience with the oil and gas industry
• 5-7 years’ experience as a Chemical Tech

Desired: 8 years’ experience as a Chemical Tech
