Located in North Chicago IL, AirAnswers, Inc. is a rapidly growing small company with industry leading technologies for air quality sampling, assessment, and analysis. We are located in state-of-the-art new laboratories and offices on the campus of Rosalind Franklin University.

This position has a set of responsibilities -both challenging and exciting- that should build on your selling experience. You will be responsible for selling AirAnswers® products and testing services to new and existing customers. This position requires a self-starter who can work independently, has excellent communication skills, and is comfortable with technology. The candidate will be responsible for prospecting, generating leads, and closing deals.

The Primary job accountabilities are:

  • Generates leads, manages sales funnel, negotiates sales terms & pricing, and closes orders for products & testing services
  • Creates and maintains cold-calling and prospecting lists for potential clients using established and individually creative processes to build a sales funnel
  • Builds strong customer relationships by providing excellent customer service, support, and handling sales inquiries

· Prepares sales proposals and quotations for new and existing clients

· Conducts product demonstrations and new customer training to build confidence in the product and services,simplifies complicated subject matter in conversations with potential new customers

  • Develops a baseline knowledge of the latest technology in indoor air quality management in order to develop unique selling points and competitive comparisons for sales presentations and conversations with potential customers
  • Works independently and collaborates with internal company resources and client organizations to obtain information or support to close orders. Cultivates and enhances those relationships to increase information flow leading to closed orders.
  • Attends conferences and trade shows. Engages with customers to develop relationships and to enhance industry specific knowledge.
  • Prepares and submits reports on sales prospects and forecasts

The Qualifications:

· Minimum of Bachelor's degree in a science or technical-related field such as biological sciences, chemistry, engineering, or biotechnology. This requirement for a technical related degree is due to the need to be conversant with current clients and potential customer's scientific staff.

· 1-2 years of selling experience with a technical product or service in a business-to-business setting

· Comfortable with technology

· Ability to quickly learn new systems

· Ability to simplify complex subject matter in order to help customers understand features and benefits of AirAnswers products and services

· Experience working independently and as part of a team

· The candidate that is self-motivated will excel in this assignment

· Effective written and verbal communication skills

· Proficient with computer applications and with Microsoft office applications

· Prior experience using Salesforce is desirable and training will be provided

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to drive to or fly to various meetings/client sites

· Periodic overnight travel may be required

· Ability to attend management and sales meetings at off-site locations

· Estimated 10 % overnight travel

Compensation: At AirAnswers you will earn a competitive base salary and have an incentive pay program to earn commissions on closed. AirAnswers also offers the opportunity to earn a long-term incentive.
