TITLE: Technical Account Manager

What You Will Do:

  • Technical Account Manager (Irvine, CA). Works closely with the Account Manager to expand Altair’s footprint at a single account or number of assigned accounts. Be viewed by the customer as their primary Point of Contact for all technical activities include presales, technical support, consulting and training. Interface with the Altair Technical Support, Software Development and Marketing teams. Identify opportunities at the accounts to displace competition, add products, add users and expand Altair software usage. Identify threats at the account requiring defense against competition, custom solutions, additional training and special attention. Cooperate with the Account Manager to identify and prioritize strategic long term and short term technical activities in support of the account growth plan. Secure and coordinate the required support from within the US, the AMER region and worldwide Technical Operations and Software Development teams to execute the planned activities. Maintain a deep working knowledge of the customer’s goals, key business initiatives, technical challenges and CAE infrastructure. Achieve a long-term relationship with key technical people at the assigned accounts. Review account technical support activities to ensure appropriate follow-up, recognize usage trends and training needs. Maintain a close connection to Software Development for effective response to all defects and enhancement requests from assigned accounts.

What You Will Need:

Basics: Master’s in mechanical engineering and 12 months of experience as Application Engineer or any related position in engineering design and development. Must have one year of experience in Finite element analysis for vehicle programs in Chassis group, using super-element methods for vehicle design, and using Nastran.

40 hrs/wk. 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. $94,453/year - $124,009.60/year.
