Job Summary and Qualifications

HCA Healthcare ITG

Job Summary:

Provide Technical and Managerial leadership to a highly visible, strategic corporate initiative responsible for upgrading foundational IT Technology in facilities across the HCA enterprise. Deploying on an accelerated schedule. Ultimately being accountable for the tactical plan and quality of the department and project. Typically supports medium to large size projects

HCA IT&S TIL’s are responsible for planning, scheduling, executing, reporting, cost/budget development, scope management and tracking. TIL(s) work with multiple stakeholders within IT&S and Business Operations to define a project’s objectives and scope, work across IT&S organization to acquire resources and form project teams; manage the work of team members and third-party contractors, consultants, vendors, to deliver IT products according to plan, schedule, and budget. TIL’s oversee projects from initiation, to development of the defined results, and through deployment of the product, including turnover to the appropriate systems support and user support organizations.

General Responsibilities:

Project Processes – 60%

  • Responsible for supporting assigned project implementation, ensuring all respective scope, requirements, schedule, resource, risk/issue and financial management of VoIP activities are completed on-time, within budget, and as designed/specified.
  • Actively participate and provide support for all VoIP project activities
  • Serve as single point of contact for all assigned VoIP needs; meeting regularly (in person and remotely) with Facility/Division leadership to ensure program success
  • Orchestrate and allocate resources towards all remaining activities; working with vendors, and project management resources as necessary to achieve joint VoIP Program objectives on behalf of the divisions/facilities
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and complete procurement and receiving activities for assigned projects
  • Evaluate and implement VoIP Program process and cost improvement opportunities
  • Responsible for project budget($3-5M) and compliance while working in conjunction with UC VoIP Leadership, other TIL’s, and F&A resources
  • Provide UC Leadership with requested updates on a regular basis

Process Improvement Focus – 10%

  • Requests and takes on new tasks in order to grow skill capabilities and technical knowledge.

Communications – 15%

  • Ability to tailor communication to the appropriate audience; appropriate interactions with Leadership with minimal guidance from supervisor.
  • Ability to influence, strategize, and negotiate with involved parties to facilitate toward successful end.
  • Engagement and Organizational Management – 15%
  • Knowledgeable about how organizations work; Manages project tasks effectively for potentially conflicting organizational priorities across business units, functions or HCA partners entities (e.g. vendors or external customers);
  • Routinely executes tasks in a timely fashion and consistently communicates with stakeholders from project to project, eliciting a high degree of customer trust.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MSP, and database queries including the ability to create analysis reports, budget projections and other necessary reports

Education, Experience and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or equivalent additional experience
  • 3+ years of applicable experience – Preferred

Other Required Qualifications:

  • PMP Preferred but not required
  • Strong organization skills.
  • Competent with project management software, such as MS Project.
  • Competent understanding of IT project components.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

  • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices and objects.
  • Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
  • Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management.
