Overview:

The Team Lead assists agents with problems and provides guidance for procedures to resolve traveler issues. Manages phone queues and books airfare, hotel, and ground transportation for corporate reservation clients. Assists in the implementation of new accounts and training of new employees. Must have the ability to do both corporate and leisure and hotel branding familiarity.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising has been developed to give applicants a wide range to comply with pay transparency laws in all states and geographical areas. Many factors, such as years of experience, geographical location, budget etc. are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.

This role may be eligible for an incentive, commission, bonus, or a discretionary bonus program based on the company’s financial goal achievement and individual performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Make travel arrangements for all corporate customers including Air, Ground and Rail transportation vendors at the lowest possible fare for the customer
  • Assists individual users in successfully booking on corporate and public on-line products
  • Communicates with ticketing support for any assistance with ticketing questions and/or instructions.
  • Maintain high level or awareness of all airline rules and regulations, tariffs and other industry requirements and accurately apply this information when making travel arrangements
  • Address team and personal queues based on guidelines given by management
  • Follow company procedures, guidelines, and standards in the areas of customer service, building PNR’s, profiles, ticketing, attendance, accuracy of work, invoicing, etc.
  • Partner with managers, supervisors, other agents, and sales executives regarding client requests, needs, and comments
  • Project a professional and favorable image of ALTOUR to clients
  • Partner with supervisor pm all client concerns or other matters of significance
  • Complete any special projects or other duties as requested
Qualifications:

  • Proven knowledge of travel industry and 5 years of recent travel industry experience.
  • Must know how to build profiles
  • Proficient writing and grammar skills
  • Ability to communicate with clients, managers, supervisors, and other parties verbally and electronically
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Well-developed interpersonal communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to address and prioritize multiple duties simultaneously
  • Ability to identify and solve problems independently
  • Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality are required

Physical Requirements:
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/ or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
  • Job requires employee to sit for extended periods of time without being able to leave the work area.
  • Repetitive motion, substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/ or fingers.
  • Typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers.
  • Must be able to comprehend instructions, interpret documents, and apply abstract principles to a wide range of complex tasks.
  • Ability to understand the meanings of words and effectively respond, analyze information, and write reports, comprehend complex issues, and communicate effectively to diverse groups.
  • Job requires employee to perform basic arithmetic accurately and compute rates and percentages.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally (verbally and in writing) as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
