Tax Manager

Tax Manager will lead the Tax Department of Prosegur in US and Canada.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review tax provisions pursuant to ASC740
• Provide tax provision and compliance services for a variety of corporate, multi-national, consolidated/combined, and multi-state tax clients as a member of the final engagement review team to ensure quality control standards are met, on-time and on-budget
• Supervise tax compliance matters in relation to all taxes at all levels (such as Income Tax, Sales Tax, Property Taxes…) to ensure the company is complying with all taxes
• Attending tax audits
• In this leadership role, you will have the opportunity to utilize your technical tax, tax accounting, audit, analytical, operational, management, and client service skills while helping Prosegur grow
• Business Tax Partner: serve as client’s trusted advisor, demonstrates knowledge of industry trends, identify client issues and conflicts; proactively communicate solution options to client and team
• Demonstrate proficient technical skills for handling all client responsibilities, including knowledge of trends, industries, alternatives, etc.
• Understand the client’s organization, procedures, and internal policies
• Understanding your clients’ goals and needs and servicing clients directly
• Owning client relationships and work
• Strategizing with Managing Directors regarding tax planning giving support in specific projects and transactions
• Provide clients with recommendations and guidance on how to achieve their goals and assist in identifying opportunities for growth with clients
• Researching tax and accounting issues and providing guidance
• Working closely with staff, and assisting senior management in mentoring, coaching, training, supervising, and evaluating staff
• Foster a team environment; demonstrates support of management and decisions and build a positive culture

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• 10 years of experience in Taxes
• 5 years of management/supervisory experience
• Must have and preserve required licenses
• Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
• Proficient use of applicable technology
• Must be able to travel based on business needs
