Overview

Summit Materials is looking for a fast paced, energetic, and agile Talent Acquisition Specialist to support our full cycle pre-boarding and hiring process within our Central and Cement Regions. This individual will find success in persistence, building relationships, working well in a fast-paced environment and being agile as needs and demands shift month to month. This role is critical to the success of our candidate and hiring manager experience, and directly supports a number of Talent Acquisition and Human Resource Partners.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to multiple HR and TA Partners within the Central and Cement regions.
• Process candidates offer letters, managing the prescreening and pre-boarding experience from start to finish – including background checks, drug screening, physicals, pre-employment paperwork, I-9s, Tax Forms and more.
• Provide communications and reports regularly to ensure all hiring teams are engage throughout the onboarding process.
• Support multiple Managers, Trainers, Safety Teams and Talent Acquisition Partners.
• Correspond and communicate effectively with internal and external candidates regarding the pre-boarding hiring process and expectations.
• Provide support surrounding system accesses and navigation, to both managers and candidates.
• Understand basic metrics, satisfaction rates, process tracking, and candidate experience.
• Effectively and proactively communicate to all parties involved.
• Handle confidential materials related to hiring and Human Resource related activities.
• Support all recruiting systems and technology; facilitate training and support to candidates and managers through system driven processes and paperwork, including the Applicant Tracking Tools (Arcoro BirdDog ATS).

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 1+ year(s) of experience in Human Resources and/or Talent Acquisition
• Must be team oriented, collaborative, and organized
• Must be comfortable communicating with multiple levels of leadership
• Can-do attitude and passion for process improvement, solutions oriented
• Previous experience in a support service role is ideal
• Process oriented and technologically savvy, with ability to leverage multiple systems
• Understand basic recruitment / sourcing processes
• Sense of urgency and passion for working in a fast-paced high-volume environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites to include Microsoft Teams
• Ability to partner with hiring managers in a collaborative way to achieve shared outcomes
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability and willingness to take ownership of a process from start to finish
• Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, unafraid to ask questions, and work proactively verses reactively

Compensation Range:

Starting Salary: $50,000 – 60,000 (DOE)
