The Opportunity

Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing, L.P. is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Talent Acquisition Specialist position located at our DTTP - Waller, TX location. The Talent Acquisition Specialists sources, recruits, screens, interviews and recommends external and/or internal candidates for all level jobs, including entry level, experienced professional/technical, IT, support staff and hourly, and possibly management. May utilize the services of employment agencies. Places employment ads in appropriate sources, including the Internet and print media. Ensures the maintenance of accurate and concise records and reports concerning all phases of the recruitment process, including EEO statistics. May recruit from colleges, technical schools and job fairs. Daikin Texas Technology Park- has a footprint of 4.23 million square feet under a single roof, and is the third largest factory in the United States. Opened in 2017 as the manufacturing, logistics, and engineering center for Daikin's American subsidiary Goodman, the plant makes heating and air conditioning products sold under the Goodman, Amana, and Daikin brands.

Responsibilities:
May include;
  • Develop, refine and maintain a comprehensive pool of experienced candidates through internal and external channels & searches such as: employee referrals, industry networks, internet, job fairs and professional groups
  • Communicate and follow established recruiting processes
  • Qualify potential candidates against open positions assigned and make recommendations to recruiters.
  • Update and maintain candidate profiles, documents and job data within the online candidate applicant tracking application (applications, resumes, status, interviews, pre-employment and new hire forms)
  • Ensure that documentation complies with all federal and statutory requirements
  • Identify, capture, and report on relevant recruitment performance metrics, use information to identify trends, assess progress, and drive change toward the organizations goals.
  • Put in place plans for continual improvement of talent pool addressing: skills inventory, candidate fit, longevity, and performance.
  • Assist with scheduling interviews as requested by the Talent Acquisition Team
  • Schedule travel arrangements through Concur for candidates as requested by the Talent Acquisition Team
  • Direct the design and placement of employment advertising
  • Participate in job fairs (help with planning and recruiting)
  • Manage and guide new hires through on-boarding process
  • Participate in additional projects/activities to support ongoing business needs

  • Ensures work complies with established processes and procedures and aligns goals
Qualifications:
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Must have in depth knowledge of sourcing tools, LinkedIn Recruiter, Monster, Social Media
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel and applicant tracking systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge with full-life cycle recruitment process, including the development and execution of attraction, sourcing, assessment, selection, onboarding and acquisition strategies for high quality candidates
  • Deep understanding of sourcing candidates through various means and channels
  • Working knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations
  • High level of professionalism, personal integrity, dependability and energy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and “customer focus” with ability to interact positively with all levels of a rapidly growing geographically dispersed organization
  • Strong written, verbal and listening communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail/accuracy
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to adjust to operational needs as they arise
  • Ability to apply good judgement, strong work ethics and integrity on the job
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed
Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience preferably in a high volume environment
  • Desirable: Substantial experience in a fast paced, manufacturing or consumer goods recruiting environment
Education:
  • High school or GED equivalent
  • Degree in Business or Human Resources related field preferred
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Travel required up to 20% and ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Ability to work outside of standard work hours/days as needed
