Job Role Summary

Grant Funded Position - The Talent Acquisition Partner – Workforce Development, GF conducts full-cycle recruiting for mental health workforce and professional development programs within Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center (SEMHC). This position partners with SEMHC leaders and other HR team members to creatively and strategically plan, implement, and coordinate all student and graduate recruitment activities to recruit diverse talent. Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Conducts full-cycle recruitment activities for mental health workforce and professional development programs within SEMHC with a focus on ensuring a positive candidate and customer experience in high-volume and competitive candidate market
  • Manages all recruitment and hiring activity through applicant tracking system (ATS) and other onboarding processes to quickly and efficiently hire qualified candidates within established timeframes including but not limited to reference and background checks as well as education, license and certification verifications to meet regulatory requirements
  • Partners with SEMHC leaders and other HR team members to creatively and strategically plan, implement, and coordinate all student and graduate recruitment activities in high-volume, mass-hiring initiatives to recruit diverse talent
  • Partners with SEMHC leaders and Public Affairs to develop innovative, creative, attractive, accurate, and thorough recruitment communication materials
  • Promote roles at educational and workforce development partner events as well as in communication materials across various platforms, including ATS and social media
  • Communicates clearly, accurately, and timely with leaders and candidates throughout talent acquisition processes, maintains and provides regular candidate activity and status reports, and looks for opportunities to continuously improve candidate and customer experience
  • Prepares and collaboratively communicates recruitment and/or retention data and performance indicators within established time frames to drive continuous improvement
  • Communicates with prospective applicants seeking information regarding employment opportunities and is responsible for thorough follow-up on each inquiry
  • Understands strengths and needs of candidates as well as programs, teams, and roles and uses this knowledge to screen, evaluate and recommend viable candidates to hiring leaders for further consideration
  • Works with internal and external leaders to develop and maintain strategic partnerships and talent pipelines with school systems, community organizations, colleges and universities in workforce and professional development programs
  • Serves as applicant tracking system administrator to support team with processes such as resetting user passwords, updating positions and requisitions, and data compilation
  • Supports regulatory audits/surveys with personnel data requests and assists with maintaining listing of regulatory requirements such as current licenses/certifications required by regulatory bodies
  • Maintains working knowledge of state and federal legislation/regulations including labor laws, etc.
  • Assesses workforce climate to stay current and look forward to project mental health workforce market trends, assist with workforce problem-solving, including awareness of social, academic, and professional developmental barriers
  • Obtains and organizes current marketplace, salary, benefits and recruitment information to support recruitment and retention efforts
  • Serves as an ambassador for recruitment practices, processes, and technologies
  • Confers with internal and external candidates regarding career growth opportunities in SEMHC and SEMHC workforce and professional development opportunities
  • Partners closely with hiring leaders and Compensation to manage the selection and offer process including offer formulation, recommendation and approval process, extension of offer, offer acceptance and new hire process
  • Leads and facilitates candidate interview feedback and provides follow-up on interviews

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, social science, humanities, business or related degree plus at least two years of recruiting experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in recruiting, preferably in healthcare, may be accepted in lieu of education
  • Working knowledge of healthcare services and understanding employment laws

  • Knowledge of mental health profession licensure and certification requirements, labor laws, corporate and departmental policies/procedures, as well as personnel procedures
  • Knowledge of direct candidate sourcing, with proven ability to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies
  • Expertise in benefits and perks of working in mental health field, in SEMHC, and in Eskenazi Health
  • Expertise in current recruitment resources including sourcing products and applicant tracking systems
  • Expertise in mental health workforce and recruiting
  • Basic knowledge of mental health services
