REDCON1 hiring a Systems Administrator in Boca Raton, FL
We are looking for a System Administrator who will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and security of Redcon1’s intranets and computer systems. Your duties would include installing/configuring software, responding to employee concerns or drafting documents to help employees use computer systems and coordinating with company leadership to determine new technologies that could enhance their company’s computer systems. Sys Admins are required to be on-call outside of work hours as issues could arise that require their capabilities to resolve.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage user access across all Redcon1 platforms (Contentful, Shopify, Nacelle, Vercel, WordPress, etc.)
- Meet with department director to suggest improvements to systems based off experience with all Redcon1 platforms
- Setting up organization promotional deals on systems such as Contentful, Shopify, Wheelio, and other Shopify related Applications
- Contacting Customer Support services for Technology partners if/when their platforms begin having issues
- Problem solving ways to extract reporting data needed for different departments (Finance, Marketing, etc.)
- Managing content for development environments when projects require real-life scenario testing
- Monitoring deployments to ensure production environment is up and stable
- Helping with testing projects in development as a layer of QA
- Monitor deployment tech stack to ensure changes are being properly deployed
- Regularly monitor customer facing front-end to ensure bugs weren’t accidentally introduced into production
- Identifying possible issues with Marketing, Finance, or Art request that can conflict with Technology and alert department heads to find alternative solutions
- Managing customer facing systems and be on-call after hours in case bugs are encountered
- Managing content changes requested by other non-technical departments
- Managing product data across several environments (Stord, Shopify, Nacelle, OrderGroove, etc.)
- Managing and maintaining file servers
- Employing the latest security protocols
- Monitoring the local area network (LAN) for threats or errors
- Operating the firewall for the organization
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to solve problems in stressful situations
- Strong technical skills
- Ability to learn how to use IT systems quickly
- Strong attention to detail
- Communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to inexperienced users
- Time management skills
- Strong debugging skills as issues could arise that touch on several systems at once
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field (or equal experience)
- 5 or more years of experience in a technical role
