The City of Sugar Land is inviting all analytical professionals who are interested in a full-time position as a System Administrator to apply to join our amazing City! This exciting position works Monday through Friday during typical business hours as well as occasional after hours during an emergency activation.

The ideal candidate must perform network and system support functions on a daily basis with an enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to work until the job is successfully completed. In addition, the ideal candidate must maintain a working knowledge of networking, Cisco Firewalls, Cisco Switching and Fortigate Firewalls. Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills are key characteristics for the ideal candidate. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment is critical for success in the role, as are high levels of accuracy, timeliness and dependability.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical training preferred.
- Between two and five years of information technology experience to include Networking, Cisco Firewalls, Cisco Switching, Fortigate Firewalls
