SurveyPros is a reputable surveying company specializing in providing accurate and reliable surveying services. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Survey Instrument Operator to join our team. As a Survey Instrument Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining surveying instruments, assisting in field surveys, and ensuring accurate data collection.

Responsibilities:

• Operate surveying instruments, including total stations, GPS receivers, levels, and data collectors.
• Assist in the setup and calibration of surveying equipment to ensure accurate measurements.
• Collect precise measurements, observations, and other data in the field.
• Assist in conducting various types of surveys, such as boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking.
• Record and document field data accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure adherence to surveying procedures and safety protocols.
• Assist in the maintenance and care of surveying equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Work collaboratively with surveyors and other team members to achieve project goals.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations related to surveying measurements.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and equipment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Survey Instrument Operator is preferred.
• Knowledge of surveying instruments and their operation, including total stations, GPS receivers, and levels.
• Familiarity with surveying practices, techniques, and terminology.
• Basic understanding of surveying data collection and field procedures.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection and recording.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
• Physical fitness and the ability to carry surveying equipment and work on uneven ground.
• Valid driver's license.
