Overview:
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
This person is responsible for maintaining the surgical schedules of 1-2 physicians. This includes scheduling the surgery, verifying the patient’s insurance, pre-authorizing the surgeries and maintaining contact with the patient throughout the scheduling process. Other duties to include patient registration, scanning and charge entry to assist the team when warranted. This position is a hybrid role. You will be required to work three days on campus and two days remotely. This is after succesfully completeing the introductory probation period.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Education and Work Experience:
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
- 3-4 years working in a surgeon’s office.
- 1-2 years surgical scheduling experience preferred.

- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following:

- Epic (if applicable to position)
- Performance Manager/NetLearning
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
- Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
- Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Other Requirements:
- Travel to satellite offices may be required.
