YOU As an Operations Support Team Member, you will be responsible for maintaining the workflow of operations and back filling when needed in Production and Warehouse. You will complete a “Level’ training program in each department, and learn the tasks that are involved with each “Level”. You will start at level 1, learning the entry level jobs, and progress into the more advanced jobs. When you complete training in each department, you will create flexibility throughout the plant, and will also cross train team members in your area of expertise. This position is 1st shift 7:00AM – 3:30 PM Monday - Friday, with overtime as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)

Run production equipment as directed by Supervisor, which will include reading blueprints and using the required tools to measure to the prints. Label and pack items as needed. (40%)

Operate reach trucks to put away finished goods, fill home locations, and pick customer orders. (40%)

Participate in Kaizen events. (15%)

Maintain cleanliness of equipment area. Maintain all scrap and trash hoppers. (5%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Simpson Strong-Tie Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification (will certify at hire) required.
  • 12 months related experience and/or training.
  • Math: Ability to apply fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry as well as able to apply concepts of fractions, percentages, and proportions. Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Language: Ability to read and write standard work instructions and correspondence.
  • Speaking: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving variables encountered during the manufacturing process.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify options for solving a problem encountered during the manufacturing process.
  • Understand safety requirements for each department including LOTO of all equipment.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Columbus, OH.

RELOCATION

Relocation is not available for this position.

PAY

$23 - $27 / hour
