Astera Health, previously Tri-County Health Care, is looking for a full-time Supply Chain Manager who strives for excellence and is committed to the management, evaluation, procurement, storage, and distribution of all supplies and equipment for the organization. The manager will oversee the daily operations of the Purchasing Office, storeroom, and coordinates Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracts and the Materials Management Computer system.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Oversee the purchasing function, utilizing acceptable purchasing practices and appropriate internal control. Including but not limited to analyzing inventory levels and historical cost comparisons. Establish, implement, and manage system to evaluate, monitor and report supplier performance.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of GPO purchasing program and solid knowledge of other GPO product category programs ensuring optimal participation in agreements to maximize price savings.
  • Oversee the use of information technology in the purchasing and distribution process, including coordinating upgrades to the system and use of new software applications.
  • Work with departmental leaders on preparation of construction/remodel budgets. Monitor actual costs compared to budget and notify appropriate personnel of potential overages.
  • Develop, maintain, and coordinate a system for regular contract reviews.
  • Consult with department managers in problem solving activities to assist them in preparing requisitions for special items and capital expenditures.

Competencies Required:
  • Knowledge of Materials Management system.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, able to maintain orderly records and logs.
  • Excellent computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to comply with OSHA regulations and CDC standards.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain positive attitude

Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 5+ years experience in supply chain management and knowledge of healthcare
  • Or; an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties of the job as listed above
Immunization requirements include: MMR, Hepatitis B (based on the position), Tdap, Varicella, Influenza, COVID-19.
