CACI is currently looking for an experienced Supply Chain Management Logistics Manager to join our team supporting next generation digital engineering and digital warfare systems for the Department of Defense. Responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of the organization's supply chain. Activities may include analysis, planning, and forecasting in the following areas: production, handling of materials, purchases, inventory management, warehouses, transportation, and distribution. For government property, functions include the tracking, monitoring and reporting on the status and usage of government and contractor acquired property, to include audit/compliance support.

Responsible for managing the network of interconnected businesses involved in the ultimate provision of product and service packages required by end customers. Balance supply with demand, considering both lead time and demand variability created by supply patterns not matching demand patterns. Effectively collaborate and communicate with supply chain members. Integrate activities across organizations on the supply chain by ensuring information visibility in inventory levels, anticipated productions, and material-in-transit. Mitigate the bullwhip effect.

What You’ll Get to Do:

Support the research, development and execution of a digital strategy to improve resiliency in the Navy’s supply chain and the defense industrial base as a whole. Improve the Navy’s supply chain management capabilities by:

  • Supporting acquisition efforts to include identification, development, test, and support transition of modern digital tools and technologies into the Navy acquisition enterprise.

  • Supporting ASN(RDA) on financial reporting and planning of acquisition efforts to include forecasting and future funding requirements, and best value to ASN(RDA).

  • Supporting Navy engagements with third party service providers of supply chain management (SCM) tools through research and evaluations.

  • Supporting the development of a Navy strategy encompassing in-house and third party SCM services.

  • Supporting the execution of this digital strategy by leveraging existing government databases, tools, and resources to improve Navy SCM services.

  • Develop training materials for SCM data systems.

  • Supporting the continued alignment of the Navy’s digital strategy and solutions with all stakeholders; including, but not limited to OUSD(A&S), Navy SYSCOMs, PEOs, and various other DoD SCM efforts.

Support the planning, execution, evaluation, and reporting of these industrial base direct investment activities. Support efforts to develop best practices that maximize the benefit of investments. Support efforts to quantify and report on the status and results of investment initiatives. Support improvements to policies or processes to improve predictability, efficiency, affordability, and performance of acquisition and sustainment activities. Investments may include, but are not limited to:

  • Investments made by the Navy, OSD, industry, or other organizations.

  • Improvements to infrastructure, processes, tools, or other capital expenditures.

  • Workforce recruiting, training and retention programs.

Support US Navy initiatives to develop new tools and improve existing tools to expand the Navy’s SCM capabilities. Initiatives may include, but are not limited to:

  • Workforce and material planning tools for prime and lower tiered suppliers.

  • Economic analysis tools.

  • Tools to manage supplier engagements, surveys, and other data.

Support the Navy’s stakeholder engagements regarding the industrial base or supply chain management. Support may include strategic planning, research and analysis, the preparation of formal products such as Reports to Congress, or other direct engagement participation. Stakeholders include, but are not limited to, OUSD(A&S), Navy SYSCOMS, PEOs, industry SCM service providers, prime contractors and their suppliers, Congress, and various industry groups.

Support additional projects or initiatives that will improve the health and resiliency of the US defense industrial base.

  • Ability to apply advanced supply chain improvement concepts and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas.

  • Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong communication skills and work ethic; self-starter.

  • Adhere to CACI Code of Conduct including CONUS & OCONUS Operations.


You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

  • Minimum BA degree from an accredited university.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working with data systems in a CIO equivalent organization.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence multiple stakeholders.

  • Must have experience building, maintaining, or transitioning large data systems.

  • Must possess strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and writing skills.

  • Must have experience leading technical change and managing others; the resource(s) must have experience and be proficient with Microsoft Office suite and produce documents or other published works, and must possess experience and knowledge of proper handling of Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

  • Excellent technical writing and data presentation skills

  • Ability to think analytically and independently.

  • Team orientation

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently

  • Travel: up to 25%


These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of Agile principles, Python, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, data architecture, and cloud migration are highly desirable.

  • Active US Secret Security Clearance
