The **Supervisor, Security Operations Center (SOC)** provides oversight and coordination of security operations, security incident response, incident detection and analysis, containment and eradication of discovered threats and incidents, data leakage integrity and prevention, and will serve and the primary coordinator of 1st level event monitoring and detection provided by an MSSP. The team consists of 6 SOC Analysts and all the resources provided by the managed service.

  • *Responsibilities include:**

+ Serves as team lead, driving goals and performance for Level 1 and Level 2 SOC analysts, managing vacation requests, time off requests, and other HR related items

+ Will use and develop security tools, processes, and procedures to identify threats

+ Will utilize and implement both existing and new monitoring, log analysis, scripting, and relevant security technologies as identified as a need by the team

+ Analyze and evaluate network, system, and security alerts performing triage to include determining scope, urgency, and potential impact, identifying the specific vulnerability

+ Coordinate security incident bridges to drive major issues to a resolution

+ Assist in performing information security assessments or audits of internal networks and systems

+ Collaborate with client technical teams for issue resolution and mitigation

+ Integrate existing and new security solutions with overall event and response management processes

+ Analyze various methods of controlling information security problems, determine the strengths and weaknesses of each method, and implement the best cost justified solution

+ Identify weak links in information security products, and determine how to mitigate the control deficiencies

+ Drive innovation and forward thinking for all security solutions by looking at industry and market trends that translate to the enterprise to drive improved productivity, agility, and platform stability.

+ Delivering services within budget and continually evaluate opportunities to drive cost excellence and cost avoidance where appropriate

+ Ensure adequate/skilled staffing levels and create training regiments for team

  • *Basic Qualifications:**

+ Legally authorized to work in the United States.

+ Bachelor’s degree.

+ 8 or more years of related IT experience.

+ A broad understanding of security industry standards and best practices.

+ Manage multiple complex assignments, manage assignments based on criticality, in a timely and professional manner.

  • *Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

+ Prior supervision experience.

+ Industry certifications including CISM, CISSP, CEH, GSEC, Security+ Familiarity with industry standard frameworks such as NIST SP800-53 and SP800-171, ISO 27001 and 27002, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, COBIT, OWASP, HITRUST, GDPR, or COSO

+ Experience with automation, scripting, and DevSecOps processes

+ Deep understanding of measurement and the key performance indicators for successful operations center environments

+ Outstanding communication capabilities, written and oral, with an emphasis on prompt, transparent and appropriate targeting for incident related notifications

+ Ability to travel up to 10% of the time between P66 sites if Bartlesville based role, up to 20% if Houston based
