Supervisor Health Information Management - Scanning, Indexing, Chart Analysis
Job description
Provides direct supervision of clerical services – Scanning, Indexing, Chart Analysis provided by Health Information Management Department. Responsible for assuring compliance with guidelines and standards promulgated by regulatory and accrediting agencies and for ensuring that services comply with accepted principles of Health Information Management. Enforces rule and regulation compliance as outlined by the Medical Staff Bylaws.
Position located at Community Hospital, Munster, Indiana.
To Qualify you Must Have:
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Health Information Technology. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years medical records experience.
- Previous supervisory/lead experience.
- Credentialed as Registered Information Technician (RHIT) or a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organization skills, effective problem solving skills.
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Must be able to travel to other CHS hospitals.
