The Referral Center (RC) Supervisor provides oversight of the referral center operations and staff. The RC team will receive Strength Based and Assertive Community Treatment Case Management Referrals and process them according to program guidelines. The RC Supervisor will ensure all program activities are completed and provide supervision and direction to staff.


Due to business needs, the hours for this position are 8 am to 5 pm PST and residency in San Diego is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and participate in implementation and planning meetings around roll out of the referral center operations. Conduct regular staff meetings to support operations. Participate in case conferences and in-service opportunities as needed
  • Provide communication on current information for team regarding new requirements, procedures, policies, etc.
  • Monitor and oversee staff workload and arrange coverage as needed and/or covers as needed
  • Actively participates in training new staff and ensures that current staff are up to date on training requirements
  • Provide daily supervision to team members along with minimum of monthly supervision meetings. Conduct annual performance reviews and provide performance feedback and coaching on an ongoing basis. Available to staff to assist with clinical issues or customer service issues requiring consultation
  • Serve as a liaison with other departments and external stakeholders like County contractor, case management program staff, and others as needed. Collaborate with external partners around ongoing program development needs and opportunities
  • Assist in design and consultation to development team on the data collection and reporting needs for database development. Support the implementation of data collection and tracking of information regarding referrals. Assist in development and providing reporting back to county partners on agreed upon reporting elements
  • Oversee work to ensure ongoing improvement of department operations
  • Assist with problem resolution as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s level mental health professional
  • 5+ years of direct clinical experience in a mental health setting
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, OneNote, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to access to San Diego County Behavioral Health Electronic Health Record, Cerner, as well as other internal databasesAccess to install secure, high-speed internet and a dedicated, distracted workspace at home
  • Reside in the Pacific Time Zone


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Community mental health experience
  • Case management experience
  • Proven solid communication and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to work autonomously
  • Reside in San Diego

California, Nevada and Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Nevada and Washington Residents residents is $56,300 to $110,400.
