Tecta America Fruitland, a commercial roofing contractor, originally started as Roofers Inc. and Potteiger-Raintree in 1969. In 2010 we merged under the Tecta America Company. Tecta America Corp, the largest and most respected commercial roofing contractors in the United States is looking for motivated and dedicated individuals to join our growing team.

Commercial Roofing Superintendent Summary: Effectively coordinate administrative efforts with the field efforts. The Superintendent manages the Crew Leaders, oversees the jobs in progress to ensure that they are on schedule, meets budget both with labor and materials, and monitors each job’s Safety record. The Superintendent and Project Manager work together to schedule material and labor with other departments such as the sheet metal work is coordinated with the Sheet Metal Superintendent. The Superintendent will be in constant contact with the Project Manager to ensure the jobs run on schedule and under budget, and all information needed by the Foremen is provided in a timely manner.

Commercial Roofing Superintendent Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise commercial roofing crews and commercial roofing jobs.
• Read and understand field books with various construction job scopes of work, plans and specifications to be able to properly plan out jobs and perform work accordingly within schedules and budgets.
• Attend and participate in Pre-construction meetings.
• Establish lines of communication with external and internal customers (GC’s, Building Owners, Owners Representatives, Consultants, Project Managers, Accounting, Operations, Field Personnel, Etc.) before, during and after job completion.
• Promote best practices for commercial roofing work and provide on the job training as needed.
• Comply with and support company Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Ensure jobs are completed in the most efficient and most cost effective manner.
• Recruit, train, mentor and retain dependable and knowledgeable workforce.

Commercial Roofing Superintendent Requirements:

• Three years satisfactory work record as a Superintendent with a similar size-roofing contractor and a minimum of eight years of roofing experience
• Valid State Driver’s License
• Must read and write English, proficiently.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
• Must comprehend general mathematical functions to compute dimensions, quantities, and sizes of various parts, assemblies, and installations.
• Must be able to judge and compute percent of completion of jobs, and stages of jobs.
• Proficiency with computers and software.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
