Job Summary/Purpose: *** Now accepting applicants who have a Master's Degree and need supervision to get MLADC, LICSW and/or LCMHC)*** Provide consultation for the New Hampshire Division for Children, Youth & Families (NH DCYF) regarding co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Provide direct services (co-occurring substance use and mental health treatment services) to individuals and families involved with NH DCYF. WE DO NOT BILL INSURANCE - YOU GET PAID BY THE HOUR FOR THE HOURS YOU WORK = 37.5-40 HOURS PER WEEK!!!!!

  • Hours of Work: 8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. NO ON CALL!!!!!! NO WEEKENDS!!!!!! We provide services in the DHHS office (Minimum 3 -4 days per week), Remotely (at your home using telehealth), in the community and in client homes.

Each consultant is expected to spend at least 35-40% or about 15 hrs of their time in direct services with clients (Counseling, Case Management, Meetings). The remainder of the time is spent on consultation with DCYF, meetings, travel to appointments, documentation and supervision.

The primary location for this position is in LACONIA, NH.

1. Provides co-occurring substance use and mental health treatment services, using evidenced based practices to clients involved with DCYF. Treatment services include, but are not limited to: assessments, evaluations, short & long term counseling, family education and support, case management and crisis intervention.

2. Reduces barriers to treatment by offering services in the DCYF offices, during home visits, using remote video telehealth services and in community settings using an Assertive Community Treatment approach.

3. Provides consultation services to DCYF staff. Consultation services include, but are not limited to: direct case consultation, participation in treatment team meetings, staff meetings and case transfer meetings.

4. Provides education and training to DCYF staff and community partners, as requested. Training topics include, but are not limited to: orientation to DCYF staff about the DCYF MLADC program, drugs of abuse, engaging families, levels of care and the impact of addiction on families.

5. Develops and maintain community partnerships to act as a liaison between DCYF & community-based treatment providers.

6. Maintains data of services provided using electronic medical records, a spreadsheet and weekly logs, all provided by employer.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Applicant must have a graduate degree in clinical mental health, clinical psychology, substance use treatment, social work or human services or equivalent with clinical course work and internship requirement from an accredited college or university.

2. Applicant's must have or be willing to engage in supervision for one/more of the following licenses: (NO COST TO THE EMPLOYEE)

a. Master Licensed Alcohol & Drug Use Professional (MLADC) *

b. Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) *

c. Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)

*Preference is given to those with either an MLADC or LICSW.

3. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation with liability insurance coverage as required by state laws for travel, statewide.

4. Applicant must have basic computer skills.

6. Applicant must disclose any action taken against their NH credential(s) including but not limited to: board action, suspension or termination of a license to practice.

7. Applicant shall authorize the Department to conduct a Bureau of Elderly and Adults Services (BEAS) State Registry Check and a Division for Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) check at no cost to the applicant. These registries check confidential results.

8. Applicant must complete a criminal background check and ensure no convictions for the following crimes including, but not limited to: felony child abuse/neglect, spousal abuse, felony physical assault/battery, child pornography, rape, sexual assault, homicide, any sexually-related crime or a crime which may indicate a person might be reasonably expected to pose a threat to a child or a drug-related offense committed within the past five years in accordance with 42 USC 671 (a)(20)(A)(ii).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $73,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
