Job description
The substitute performs duties of regularly scheduled personnel who are absent from the academy due to vacation, illness or personal time off. These duties may include teaching, supervising children or cooking meals and snacks. Activities are directed by other staff in the classroom (Assistant Teacher, Teacher)
The substitute teacher performs duties and responsibilities for various assigned positions. He/She assists regularly scheduled staff with classroom and outdoor activities, supervision of children, and meal times as requested.
Substitute teachers must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist-high.
He/She must pass a medical exam and Criminal Background check.
He/She must be at least 18 years of age or older and have a High School Diploma or GED.
