Job description
The Valdosta Campus of Georgia Military College is currently seeking a part-time student activities coordinator. The coordinator works under the direct supervision of the Campus Director to develop, promote, and support student clubs, events, activities, and club sponsors. The coordinator serves as a link between students, administrative staff, faculty, vendors, and community members to facilitate the success of student programs for the campus.
Major Duties:
- Coordinate campus activities, scheduling events, and supervising student organizations
- Assisting club advisors with specific activities and events through promotion, securing facilities, and providing assistance during events.
- Organizing and overseeing participation in community events to promote social interaction such as Relay for Life, collection drives, etc.
- Interacting with students to promote campus student activities
- Assisting other departments with planning and supervision of student events and workshops
- Other duties as assigned
Criminal background check and drug screen must be cleared before any candidate may begin working.

Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED equivalent
- Experience with event planning or leadership role in civic organizations
Preferred Requirements:
- Associate's degree or completion of some college coursework
- Experience with student activities or community-sponsored events
