The Street Worker IV is a mid-level position. Starting pay is $13.16 hr. and up, depending on experience and endorsements.

Job Summary: Under close supervision, operates a variety of trucks and light construction equipment in the maintenance of City streets and related infrastructure. Work involves driving trucks and operating equipment, performing manual tasks, maintaining equipment and vehicles and performing related work as assigned. Reports to the Streets Supervisor. Position is subject to overtime and to "call-out."

Trial Service Period: 90 days (employment remains at-will at all times)

Minimum Training and Experience: Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by one to two years of experience in truck and/or light equipment operations, and/or street maintenance and construction; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must possess a valid West Virginia driver's license and a Class "B" CDL (Tanker endorsement preferred but not required). May be required to possess or obtain additional certification(s) as deemed necessary by supervisor.

Physical Requirements: Tasks involve the regular and at times sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and which involves the lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of items of moderately heavy weight (up to 50 pounds) and occasionally heavier weight (up to 100 pounds).
