The Strategic Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for defining and improving the supply base through performance monitoring, new vendor identification and onboarding in partnership with the Supplier Quality Supervisor, containment review and addressing critical issues affecting material deliveries. They will also help to create a McCoy Global strategy across the constituents to deliver macro-supply chain goals and improve the KPI’s of the multi-year supply chain strategy. The focus of this role will encompass cost, agility, sustainability, service, and business continuity.

What you’ll bring:

• BS degree in business, management or other related discipline preferred and/or at least 5 years progressive experience in a strategic procurement capacity and sourcing within a design and manufacturing environment.
• APICS certification preferred
• Experience leading organizations through change and embracing new ways of working while delivering outstanding business results
• Comfort dealing with ambiguity and a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
• Aptitude for both strategic thinking and detail-oriented operational management
• Experience in total quality, six sigma, or other similar environments.
• Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
• Ability to demonstrate solid written and oral communication skills.

  Analyze and improve supply chain operations.
• Drive market assessment of supply chain trends and analyze their imperatives in shaping McCoy Global’s supply chain strategy
• Resolve day-to-day supply chain issues and promote operational consistency.
• Evaluate procurement metrics and measure supplier performance.
• Identify project scopes, schedules and costs.
• Negotiate supply agreements.
• Establish risk management plans relating to procurement.
• Identify, develop and manage effective relationships with existing and potential suppliers of goods and services to meet the established cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Create Vendor Evaluation packages including bid packages as part of New Vendor Evaluation.
• Adhere to established company policies, procedures, terms and conditions and legal matters that affect purchasing policies.
• Coordinate and work with quality, engineering and the supply base to ensure 100% on-time delivery by establishing and monitoring schedule to proactively identify and address any issues.
• Participates as a member of the operations team in making cross-functional operational decisions.
• Extracts/generates scheduling and procurement related information from PO Suggestion, Clear to Build or other related reports, and follows – up with stakeholders such as Engineering or Sales as well as supplier’s for meeting customer’s delivery date.
• Drive Discussions for defective or unacceptable new goods or services with users, vendors and others to determine cause of problem and take corrective and preventative action
• Maintain appropriate quality standards and specifications
• Perform other duties as assigned.
