Overview:
Lupin is comprised of a fast growing, innovative and robust team of manufacturing, Research and Development and commercial divisions. Together these entities make up the generic and branded U.S. business. Lupin has a significant generic pipeline, and a branded focus on women’s health. Our first Research and Development facility in the US is located in Coral Springs, Florida which focuses on generic and branded orally inhaled and nasal drug products. Somerset, New Jersey is home to one of twelve commercial manufacturing sites globally and the only commercial manufacturing facility in the United States for Lupin, as well as additional Research and Development teams. Responsibilities:
The Manager business Projects and Analytics is responsible for assisting the President, Corporate Development & Growth Markets + US brand specialty in planning, developing, communicating, and executing strategic initiatives. The position serves as a consultant and implementer for the President, assisting with operational and administrative activities. The Analyst works in close partnership with the President, senior leadership and other key stakeholders to deliver high quality project deliverables and focus on (1) scientific and market research, (2) financial evaluation and opportunity analysis, and (3) related project management. This role supports the selection of Innovative product pipeline essentially for US and other developed markets, a critical element for the company’s growth strategy in various markets / geographies.

The ideal candidate is results- and detail-oriented. The candidate must demonstrate an ability to synthesize a variety of ideas and data inputs into a cohesive business plan, presentation or financial model. A high degree of computer literacy, as well as organizational skills, are expected, as is the ability to manage multiple changing priorities in an adaptive, dynamic work environment.


Stakeholders:
  • This position interacts with senior leadership and Lupin board members (CEO, MD , CFO and Independent directors or strategic external advisors (SAB) and other organizational stakeholders in Lupin affiliates to support alignment and execution for key initiatives and executive communications
  • Partner closely with business finance, Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Portfolio teams.
  • External relationships include interactions with various vendors, consultants and industry groups based on the needs of special projects or implementation of new programs
Role & Responsibilities:

  • Support President on key deliverables providing operational, financial and communication related needs and information
  • Analyze, interpret and convert ideas in to project plans, build models and scenarios and business case.
  • Performs a wide portfolio of complex quantitative and qualitative analyses (e.g. operational, financial, market).
  • Utilizes project management tools in the development of project plans, business plans, monitoring progress, and supporting project teams.
  • Provides support for projects including crafting agendas, identifying key decisions, and tracking action items.
  • Carries out major assignments in conducting the operations of project including being involved in relevant planning long- or short-term business objectives.
  • Analyze wide range of operational and financial data, both internal and external; determine trends and opportunities.
  • Assist with the assessment of new business opportunities, including: review of scientific data/literature; review of current market dynamics and future trends; and qualitative and quantitative market research.
  • Follow up on Action planning, KPI measurements in Business development in US, EU, China, Canada, Australia and South East Asia. Support coordination and escalation when needed on missed milestones
  • Synthesizes complex information to communicate project deliverables and recommendations to senior management. Provides consultation or expert advice to senior management on his or her projects.
  • Build business cases and presentations for product opportunities
  • Conduct and lead special assignments on behalf of the President, which may include leadership of company-wide strategic initiatives and industry analyses
  • Use KPIs and track them for milestone progression and track dashboard of all the businesses under President, Corporate Development and Growth Markets.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sciences from an accredited institution, advanced degree highly preferred in Healthcare. Ideal candidate would have an advanced degree such as an MBA and a combination of both science and business education
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in an operational or strategic planning role. Experience of consulting, financial, business banking sectors or bank analysts with a zeal to explore pharmaceutical and healthcare sector. Experience within the pharmaceutical industry or working for the pharmaceutical industry in a consulting firm will be an added advantage.
  • Experience with financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of project management tools, methods, and best practices. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Preferred candidates will also be knowledgeable in in Tableau, Visio, Access, and Decision Support reporting programs.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills applicable to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, good independent judgment, and independent thinking in selecting the optimal course of action.
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, organizational, project management, customer service, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements: The physical requirements of the position generally include: standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing, and writing. Generally, work is performed in an office environment.
