About the Role:

As a Strategic HR Consultant in EMD, you’ll help our People Team innovate, create and embed tailored services and solutions in support of our business and talent priorities.

This global role will lead strategic people projects and provide global HR business partner support to leaders and employees from three product groups: Motor Graders, Medium Wheel Loaders and Medium Tractor Product teams.

What you will do:

  • Partner closely with each Vice President of Product Management on the day: day department culture and employee relations needs.
  • Create and execute the department’s Diversity & Inclusion strategy driving metrics visibility and executing action plans.
  • Leading strategic HR projects related to culture, employee engagement, talent pipeline and other key focus areas
  • Provide direction regarding interpretation and application of employee-related policies, practices and procedures, as well as international laws and governmental regulations
  • Coaching and counseling leaders and employees
  • Working with global HR partners and process owners
  • Conducting internal investigations
  • Assisting with hiring, training, and safety-related initiatives
  • Creating and tracking People metrics


What you will have:

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree
  • 8 years commensurate HR generalist experience
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using data and insights to drive decisions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in Workday

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Previous experience leading and executing HR projects across multiple, global regions
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Workday, Teams, SharePoint, Yammer, etc.

Additional Information:

  • Location: Peoria, IL
  • Travel required is limited to moderate, 5-10% of working time.
