Nature of Work

This position is responsible for the management of a wide variety of facility maintenance duties throughout a large retail store. The work will involve repairing and or replacing equipment used in a retail setting. From mechanical, plumbing, electrical issues, and other areas as needed. The Store Maintenance Technician will exercise discretionary judgment and analysis in most situations. General direction will be given by the

Maintenance Technician to outside contractors.

Illustrative Examples of Work

  • Manages assigned facilities in a defined area using the companies cloud based maintenance management system and phone app.
  • The Facility Maintenance Technician will be responsible for issuing and responding to work orders from the system.
  • Facility Maintenance Technician is required to be the project manager on all

Work Orders.

  • Supervise the work of contract labor.
  • Insures policy and procedures are carried out 3rd party vendors.
  • Keep management informed of possible budget issues at their assigned locations.
  • Keeps records and prepares required reports.
  • Determines need and contributes information in purchase of replacement equipment.
  • Inspects the work of outside contractors for adherence to plans and specifications.
  • Consults with vendors and agencies regarding the facility maintenance and environmental issues.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of acceptable maintenance and repair in all areas of building maintenance.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods and equipment used in maintenance of HVAC
  • Knowledge of issues and topical repairs for Roofs.
  • Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Skill in analyzing a problem and arriving at a reasonable and economical solution.
  • Familiar with maintenance management software’s, like Service Channel or

Corrigo would be a plus. Knowledge in Microsoft suite.

  • Construction project management or facilities project management or related field would be desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
