Northrop Grumman Defense Systems
in Elkton, Maryland is seeking a Video Technician to join our team of qualified, highly motivated and skilled Testing team to support static test functions. Qualified candidates must be prepared to thrive in a highly active environment that demands collaboration, innovative thinking, and use of tools to effectively demonstrate the capabilities of Northrop Grumman Defense Systems at Elkton MD. Qualified candidates should have at least 2 years of work experience in videography and photography, extensive knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office platforms and the ability to work on Mac and PC operating systems.

The candidate must be familiar with live-event video production and video capture, the ability to troubleshoot any issues that arise to the quality of live-video capture and broadcast video distribution.

We are looking for someone to infuse new ideas and techniques into projects and help to elevate the value of our testing video experience. Customer satisfaction is a top priority and qualified candidates must have demonstrated experience working multiple projects, performing to tight deadlines, being attentive to details and possess solid communication and time management skills. The Video Technician will also capture high quality highspeed video. This position will be primarily located at our Elkton, MD campus.

What we need from you:

The Video Technician will be an active participant in our team’s video and photo production process. Thinking and acting strategically, he/she will help develop testing video and photo standards and capture professional high quality testing video footage to help demonstrate the abilities of our products and people. Employing a wide range of communications skills to help understand the needs of our engineering team and marketing team in order to help create compelling visual data to a wide audience.

The Video Technician will be hands-on for the successful delivery of HD test video edits and live steamed video along with capturing highspeed video and IR video. They will ensure that equipment for recording is set up for success and perform AV equipment maintenance when need.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • At least 2 years of related experience.
  • Must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance.


Salary Range: $49,400 USD - $82,400 USD


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
