The Montefiore RN maintains standards of the practice for nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice and Nursing’s Social Policy Statement.
The Registered Nurse actualizes the vision, mission, values, balanced scorecard performance measures for Montefiore Medical Center. The RN participates in performance improvement/research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; and demonstrates leadership skills. The RN demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served.
This position supports multiple locations at Moses.
Education/Skills:
- New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an R.N.
- BSN Degree preferred
- Basic Life Support Training
- Infection Control Training
- Certification in specialty preferred
- Effective English communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems
Preferred skills:
- Two (2) years RN work experience preferred
- Prior Epic EMR experience preferred
- Previous experience with high volume Vascular Surgery, wound care and/or private surgical practice highly preferred
- Bi-lingual Spanish is strongly preferred
- Previous experience with managing phone triage is highly preferred
- Detail oriented candidate preferred
- Working experience with pre and post op teaching both in-person and virtually is highly preferred
- Previous experience with tele-visit pre-charting is highly preferred
