Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the management of vendor staff in the daily operation of lockbox, cashier and payment processing to ensure reports are prepared and reviewed by supervisory personnel to ensure payment reports agree with deposit slips; prepares management reports related to deposit checks issued for NYCT Treasury transactions and financial summaries (Cash Activity, Write-offs); analyzes and maintains daily statistics on Transit Adjudication Bureau key Indicators and prepares Excel reports for management; reviews and approves all payment related transactions (Sheriff refunds, payment transfers, respondent refunds, time payment plans) in a timely manner; ensures Marshal payments are received and processed timely, coordinating with the Marshal's Office in problem resolution; researches credit advises, processes adjustments and credits balances In an accurate and consistent manner.

Staff Analyst II (OA - Represented by TWU): Min: $68,712 -Max: $76,528
Staff Analyst II (TA - Represented by OSA): Min: $68,430 - Max: $76,213
Education & Experience
Staff Analyst I & Staff Analyst II
- A Master's degree from an accredited college in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies or a closely related field; or
- A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time professional experience working in one or a combination of the following areas: working with the budget of a large public or private concern in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, or fiscal or economic research; in management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation; in personnel or public administration, recruitment, position classification, personnel relations, labor relation, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning/administration, labor market research, economic planning, or fiscal management; or in a related area.
Desired Skills
Excellent statistical and analytical ability; excellent communication skills. Knowledge of MS Word and Excel computer applications.
Knowledge of NYC Transit Adjudication Bureau procedures.
Selection Method
Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience and interview.
A writing and analytical assessment may be administered after the interview.
