JOB SUMMARY:


A hybrid role within the product management with an emphasis on the technical and functional aspects of integrating Microsoft D365 suite of applications with Vertex solutions using latest technologies. The Senior Technical Product Manager (TPM) will collaborate with other product managers and cross-functional teams to build and support Vertex product connectors. The Sr. TPM will be involved in various activities to ensure product readiness including working in a cross-functional capacity to execute on Go-To-Market activities as approved by the Product Management. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Lead the product through all stages of the product's life cycle including Prioritization, definition, User stories, definition of done, and post release activities.
  • Determine and maintain system/software connector requirements through an in-depth understanding of customer and partner needs
  • Evaluating and prioritizing product enhancements to differentiate Vertex Connectors
  • Partner with engineering on all Agile ceremonies
  • Work with Microsoft ecosystem leaders to represent connector products.
  • Support rollout plan for new features/functionality, release updates and track cross-functional implementation of plan collaborating with marketing, consulting, and support teams.
  • Assist with product promotional activities, product training/educational tools and marketing direction to sales teams and other strategic channels (e.g., distribution channels).
  • Act as a primary contact to clients and/or partners as required.
  • Lead or participate in other projects or duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Implementation and / or support experience in Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations
  • Ability to setup new features and functions in Microsoft Dynamics financials, and able to relate that to tax integration touch points / use case.
  • Articulate customer needs / pain points into meaningful user stories / requirements and Acceptance criteria.
  • Perform functional testing, document, able to communicate clearly with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Suggest best practice approach for internal teams specific to tax integration touchpoints
  • Ability to manage projects and make decisions across multiple opportunities and/or priorities.
  • Strong presentation skills for external and internal presentations to various sized audiences.
  • Metrics-oriented and customer focused, with a strong interest in speaking with customers regularly.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Quick learner with a "roll up the sleeves" approach and incredible attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and handle complex problems with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages is required.
  • Ability to manage job related and personal stress effectively.


EDUCATION AND TRAINING:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline or equivalent work experience Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

  • Six (6) plus years of ERP/Ecommerce software and product manager/owner experience, with a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a product owner, business analyst, implementation partner or other relevant jobs in the field of Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations.
  • Solid working knowledge in Financials business processes within MS Dynamics 365.

  • Experience working in the transaction tax field (sales tax, consumer use tax, VAT, returns or payroll), the public accounting field or equivalent is preferred but not required.

  • MBA, CPA, or equivalent experience a plus
