Position Overview:

Chemonics International Seeks a Sr Specialist of Global Outreach & Engagement. Under the leadership of the Sr. Director, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and in close collaboration with key stakeholders, the Sr. Specialist of Global Outreach & Engagement (GOE) will contribute significantly to the development and implementation of Chemonics DEI outreach and engagement strategy. The Sr. Specialist of GOE will help establish and maintain a global network of relevant HR and DEI points of contact around the world, utilizing Chemonics’ communication channels to engage stakeholders around key topics and resources relevant to achieving Chemonics’ DEI goal of increasing access, belonging, and connection. The Sr. Specialist of GOE is expected to collaborate closely and inclusively across all HRD and with stakeholders across the company, demonstrate excellent customer service, and provide timely, critical expertise to help find solutions for emerging DEI challenges.

  • Formulates communication and engagement strategies and drives initiatives that are in alignment with Chemonics’ 2023-2028 Strategic plan and objectives with the primary goals of fostering Access, Belonging, & Connection of the Chemonics global workforce.
  • Collaborates with the communications teams and relevant HR and GESI subject matter experts to develop and implement Global Outreach & Engagement internal and external communication and branding strategy, including events, blogs, intranet stories, and Yammer posts.
  • Collect, and analyze data, incorporating data into reports with analysis that makes business recommendations.
  • Plays a leadership role in devising, planning, overseeing and in some cases directly coordinating all major outreach activities with clearly identified objectives.
  • Monitors global engagement programs and initiatives, and recommends continuance, modification, or termination.
  • Understands organizational dynamics and actively works to cultivate DE&I allies across the organization.
  • Leads and/or participates in new business opportunities, contributing to successful proposal development, and ensures new business efforts follow Chemonics’ values, ethics, standards, and best practices.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required

Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the required knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed to perform the principal duties.

  • Minimum 5 years of International Development experience or 5 years of relevant DEI experience required.
  • Experience building and managing strategic relationships with parties external to the organization.
  • Experience creating and managing project plans to support the effective implementation of programs and initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • English proficiency required, foreign language skills a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications; proficiency in Excel preferred.
  • Strong initiative, organizational skills, work prioritization skills, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and lead presentations, training courses, and effective meetings.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve technical, managerial, or operational problems and evaluate options based on relevant information, resources, well-rounded experience, and knowledge.
  • Demonstrated integrity, independent thinking, respect for others, resourcefulness in problem solving, and initiative to learn new skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements
  • Regular attendance and availability during normal business hours are required.
  • Ability to work in a normal office environment.

Work Conditions
  • Normal office environment; usually moderate noise level
  • Occasional exposure to environmental conditions includes exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions caused by the weather

The Salary Range for this position is expected to be: $84,320 - $105,400.

An employee’s pay position will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.
