Job Title: Sr Quality Engineer and Customer Service

Location: San Jacinto, CA
Duration: Full-Time

Reporting to: Corp Quality Director

Salary: $100,000/Annum + All Benefits

Duties & Responsibilities:

This person will work closely with our OEM customers.

Maintain monthly performance reports and distribute them.

Review OEM requirements regarding new projects, warranty, and customer concerns and provide feedback to the internal team.

Ensure that new projects, warranty, and customer concerns data, and filed return parts are analyzed.

Support and participate in, new projects, warranty, and customer concerns contract negotiation with OEM.

Audit plant new projects, warranty, and customer concerns process to ensure compliance with the OEM requirements.

Measure warranty and customer concerns process performance and define with plants countermeasures.

Oversee those technical factors for standard new projects, warranty, and customer concerns processes in place in all plants.

Responsible person for handling quality claims towards customers including Sorting/Rework Activity and cost handling.

Responsible person for handling and submitting the PPAP for new projects with our OEM customers.

Measure and analyze product trials and prepare reports for management review.

Take a Hands-On approach to In-Process Inspection ensuring inspections & manufacturing documentation are completed appropriately.

Drive continuous quality improvement in conjunction with engineering and operations.

Have a fundamental understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards, organizational and team dynamics, customer expectations and satisfaction supplier relations and performance, leadership training, interpersonal relationships, improvement systems, and professional ethics.

Support and participate in APQP activities.

Develop and provide customers with FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, and APQP.

Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2015

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree and/or 5 years of related experience in manufacturing with advanced technical training

Minimum 3-5 years of proven progressive experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, auditing, and investigation

Minimum 3-5 years of proven progressive experience with automotive OEM (GM, Ford, and Lotus) or Tier 1 suppliers

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

High-performance teams and a strong team player.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Demonstrate knowledge of inspection and quality control methods, techniques, and equipment.

Demonstrate knowledge of the use of a wide variety of measuring instruments and product schematics including blueprints and bills of materials.

Working Knowledge of PPAP; SPC; APQP; FMEA; Control Plans; MSA; ISO 9001:2015; Six Sigma; GD&T: metrology.

Have a working knowledge of statistical analysis, designed experiments and computers including word processing, spreadsheets, data management, and statistical software (Minitab).

Possess attention to detail.

Show ability for problem analysis and problem resolution.

Experience with automotive strategies and reliability goals

Strong visual acuity and the ability to judge slight product variations.

Ability to read engineering drawings.

Prior work experience with Aluminum Foundry, Machining, and Assembly is desired.

Have proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Oracle products or equivalent systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
