We are seeking a Sr. Procurement Specialist to join our team. The right candidate is someone who has extensive experience with procuring goods on time and in full. This position will work with key distribution partners in ensuring that material is ordered accurately and arrives per request to support installation dates and does not delay projects. Communication with Operations Managers, Project Managers, and distribution & installation partners is key to success in this role.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare & Create Purchase Orders for assigned area or region of responsibility
  • Perform complex management of end to end order lifecycle leveraging strategic judgment as necessary & category mgmt. as required
  • Review plans & create BOM takeoffs as required to order equipment
  • Order QA Mgmt. / Identify Gaps for Process Improvement opportunities
  • Revision / Change management & Return Processing as required
  • Regular communication with distributors for proactive management of purchase orders
  • Liaison with internal & external stakeholders including Operations Mgmt. Project Mgmt., & Installers to facilitate the delivery of equipment to support installations
  • Responsible for working internally & with supply base to meet KPI’s based on business requirements (On-time delivery, Delivery Accuracy, Lead Time and others as appropriate).
  • Ensures that products are delivered in a timely manner and quality of the goods received is satisfactory
  • Seek to improve capabilities of the supplier base and procurement processes through analyzation of current state and develop system & performance data for assigned categories to improve business processes
  • Assist Procurement Manager in leading a best-in-class supply team through, analyzation, exception management, driving KPI’s, and rollout of new purchasing process that support current business initiatives
  • Provide informal coaching and mentoring to junior procurement associates as needed.
  • Compares available goods and services with industry trends within any given market to determine appropriate materials are being used to meet local jurisdiction requirements.
  • Alert management of potential shortages and develop and rollout methods to manage risk
  • Analyzes invoice discrepancies as required to ensure accuracy of goods delivered & lead discrepancy management resolution with Management as required to prevent aging
  • Proactively monitors inventory levels of material in area of responsibility and escalates as needed when supply does not meet demand

  • Working knowledge of procurement strategies

  • Ability to research & resolve issues with our install & distribution partners
  • Self starter, able to work independently with the ability to quickly resolve key issues with little oversight
  • Experience with productivity software e.g. GSuite, MS Office Suite, Adobe Suite, etc..
  • Experience with CRM or project management systems such as Monday.com, Jira, Atlassian, Confluence, Zoho, MS Dynamics, Salesforce, Hubspot, Podio, etc.
  • Possesses strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a cross-functional team environment.

Desired:
  • 4+ years experience as a Procurement Specialist / Buyer Experience in Solar, energy, construction, or related industry preferred
  • Experience w/ preparing and presenting reports
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
Compensation:
  • Salary: $65k - $85k Depending on experience
