The Job:
As a Sr Manager, HR Organization & Talent Development (O&TD), you'll be part of our Tools & Outdoor HR Supply Chain team working as a virtual employee. Reporting to the VP HR, Tools & Outdoor Supply Chain, the Sr. Manager O&TD will help design and deliver strategies that improve organizational effectiveness and enable the Tools & Outdoor (T&O) Supply Chain organization to be a market & industry leader, resulting in accelerated growth and thriving team members. The incumbent engages at all levels of the organization. S/he ensures accountability for results and effectiveness. This role will be responsible for global organizational development, culture stewardship, career development programs and employee engagement strategy and programming. The incumbent will utilize their extensive experience, strong intellectual curiosity, bias for action and a highly collaborative approach, to identify, design and deliver impactful strategies.

The Sr. Manager, O&TD will be responsible for delivering HR Excellence across three primary pillars:
HR Strategy
  • In conjunction with the Global Supply Chain and Global Tools & Outdoor Business Units, coordinates the HR Strategic Planning Process.
  • Working closely with the T&O SCHR Team, overseeing the strategy development and deployment process; ensuring strategic vision is articulated and embedded throughout the team
  • Partners closely with Enterprise Centers of Expertise in creating strategic roadmaps for critical enterprise programs and initiatives
  • Leads HR projects, inclusive of assessing the needs, defining and documenting the solutions and working with various organizations within HR to execute on time. This may include leading all aspects of the project including scheduling, resourcing, developing and implementation to validation.
Organizational Effectiveness
  • Partner closely with leaders at all levels to support and guide effective organizational planning and design during a period of significant growth and innovation
  • Assess organizational capabilities, processes, structures, and talent within and across the enterprise
  • Act as an organization design coach, and play a key role in shaping the future of the organization by developing and implementing strategic initiatives/programs and organization design strategies
  • Provide tools and resources for organizational effectiveness and change readiness to enable effective workforce planning
  • Lead global organizational and culture change initiatives to strengthen the culture, agility and shared accountability
Talent
  • Develop deep understanding of key talent within the organization to promote talent sharing across the enterprise
  • Drive and execute on succession planning within the organization, focusing on critical roles, developing talent maps and driving follow up on development plans and actions
  • Identify strategic talent acquisition needs and a proactive strategy for talent gaps and strategies to address them externally
  • In conjunction with GSC and Enterprise Talent Teams, coordinates early career and leadership development programs.
The Person:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources or related discipline or Associate Degree with 15+ years' work experience in HR or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of previous experience in a variety of Human Resource Manager/Client HRM positions with increasing scope of responsibility, including prior roles on organization and talent development
  • Prior experience across multiple business units and functions, managing through different business cycles
  • Demonstrated ability to drive HR strategic agenda using knowledge of the organization and its employees
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change through strong influencing and change management skills
  • Ability to support and coach senior leaders when appropriate
  • Strong assessment skills coupled with excellent judgment and perspective on human resources issues
  • Proven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can effectively interface and collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization developing learning programs, communicating with senior management, and facilitating teams
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills along with advanced project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to think outside the box and passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement
