The Role

The Maintenance Technician will perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections. They will execute repairs, PM’s and general facility tasks. Upon successful completion of 6 month training program, must be able to work second shift.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Disassembles machines and repairs or replaces worn or broken equipment. Adjusts functional parts of devices as necessary. Cleans, calibrates, and lubricates parts and equipment. Repairs, installs, replaces, and maintains machinery both electrical and/or mechanical equipment within the establishment down to the component level including piping, pumps, blowers, belts, gearboxes, lighting, and motors, fuses, circuit breakers, switches lamps, etc. and has a technical understanding of the component’s function/roll
  • Troubleshooting systems and subsystems to diagnose troubles down to root cause level.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair: Process piping, mechanical equipment, centrifugal and diaphragm pumps used to for process and lab operations at the site. Industrial fixed, rotating, and mechanical equipment such as pumps, piping, valves, motors, and fans.
  • Other hybrid maintenance duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor/lead.
  • HVAC systems, their functions and relationship to plant operations.
  • Steam generation, compressed air, tower water, vacuum, RO/DI water, chilled water, nitrogen, and electrical systems and their operation as well as all their sub-systems and all related equipment associated with operation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Degree or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an industrial, manufacturing environment
  • Will consider 1 to 3 years of experience with Associates Degree/Trade School certification
  • Must be able to successfully complete a 6-month training program on 1st shift.
  • Must be able to transition to second shift upon successful completion of 6-month training program
  • General knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance module is preferred.
  • Detail oriented individual, able to manage multiple tasks with input from various individuals in the manufacturing environment.
  • Strong computer skills (MS-Excel, Word, Outlook, Drive, etc.) required.
  • Read, write and speak English. Ability to take direction and execute tasks accordingly.
  • Basic electrical concepts including fuses, grounding, circuit breakers, switches, motors, load distribution, electronic assemblies, microprocessors, data acquisition equipment, lamps, wiring, etc.
  • Basic mechanical concepts including pumps, blowers, belts, gears, lubrication, etc.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
