The Project Management Specialist will be responsible of overseeing all transition of parts from Torrance to Mexicali. Responsibilities include managing schedule, working with both sites, and coordinating the timing. Performs detailed analysis and interpretation of data from various business systems or external data sources. Assists in project planning, scheduling, monitoring, reporting activities, and special projects as assigned. You will assess project issues and develop enhanced resolutions to meet or exceed productivity, quality, and customers satisfaction goals and objectives. You will develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilizes discretion and analysis in developing, maintaining, and facilitating project plans.
  • Reports status of project plans and, if necessary, develops and presents appropriate action plans.
  • Liaison between two site to coordinate all activity required to transition the parts.
  • Assists in developing, implementing, and/or negotiating changes to project plans with internal and external customers to assure schedules are met.
  • Conducts routine and special studies which involve compiling data, analyzing results, preparing, and maintaining documentation, and proposing and implementing recommendations.
  • May compile, coordinate, monitor, and maintain financial and budgeting reports.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Min 3+ years of experience in project/program management
  • 3+ years’ experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering or Business
  • Due to export control restrictions, must be a US Citizen


WE VALUE

  • 3+ years’ experience and expertise with MRP/ERP Systems (SAP)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Ability to identify and make recommendations for resolution of project related problems utilizing analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communications skills; ability to effectively interface and build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated skills in organization and problem solving.
  • Detail oriented; possess professional presence, maturity and judgment.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) including presentation planning and delivery skills.
  • Strong ability to lead and influence multi-functional teams without a direct reporting relationship.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and align interests of multiple constituents.
  • Model desired behaviors for others to exhibit and influence / motivate others to shift mindset or behaviors. Remove obstacles, cross boundaries and bring resources to the situation.
