Join the industry leader to design the next generation of breakthroughs.Serve as a functional HSE expert, providing Environmental & Safety leadership and technical support to the facility. Work within robust operating and management systems to reduce risk. Strengthen systems to ensure compliance with regulatory and Honeywell requirements. Partner with business leaders and employees to continuously improve HSE culture, awareness, and accountability in support of business objectives
As the Sr. HSE Engineer your key responsibilities will be to:
Integrate HSE processes and safe work practices into daily operations- Lead HSE initiatives and continuous HSE improvement as an integrated business partner to support achievement of site goals and ensure zero harm to employees, contractors, visitors, and the community
- Drive Excellence and engagement in HSE through management, leadership and employee involvement, worksite risk assessments, hazard prevention and control, and HSE training
- Deploy and manage initiatives to continually improve performance of programs and processes, including ISO 45001 and 50001
- Develop and implement environmental and safety programs to maintain compliance with all HSE regulatory and company requirements
- Oversight and project management of sustainability and other HSE related capital projects
- Develop & drive an HSE culture that values and promotes a safe working environment by enhancing the HSE knowledge, skills and engagement of employees, contractors and sub-contractors.
- Identify & implement energy reduction and renewable energy opportunities aligned with the HBT sustainability strategy
- Partner with site leadership and employees to continuously improve the HSE culture & HSE awareness.
Key Deliverables:
- Achieve or exceed the annual operating plan (AOP) – Incident reduction / elimination
- Increase HSE Maturity, observations, corrective action metrics & common balanced scorecard performance index
- Ensure compliance to HSE standards from leadership, employees, contractors and sub-contractors.
- Ensure an HSE continuous improvement culture is truly embedded within the site
- Deploy a sustainability plan to achieve our carbon neutrality commitments
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in HSE or Engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ experience HSE Program Management or equivalent training and experience
- Strong influencing skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
WE VALUE
- HSE program/project development, implementation and management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of local and Federal Environmental regulations
- Professional certifications such as CHMM or CSP
- HSE Project management experience
- Leadership mindset
- ISO Program Management
- Business Continuity/Resilience program experience or training
- Passionate about achieving Excellence in HSE
