Job Description


Danfoss is looking for an enthusiastic HR Generalist who is ready to take on new opportunities. The HR Generalist provides day to day HR support in our Loves Park location to the Sr. HR Manager, leaders and employees creating an engaged and productive workforce through Danfoss' policies, programs and practices.

This position will provide direct support for: employee relations, recruiting and on-boarding, payroll administration, company sponsored events, compliance with all applicable policies and procedures, benefits Administration, leave management, employee education and training, immigration management, HR auditing and reporting.

Job Responsibilities


Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Facilitate team building and development within the HR team and across the site.
  • Coordinate and implement development initiatives. Act as sparring partner for leaders in identifying development opportunities
  • Advise local and regional managers on HR related issues, processes, and compliance.
  • Support and enhance employee relations at multiple sites, including on-boarding and performance matters.
  • Responsible for ‘taking action’ and enabling leaders to be compliant with Danfoss People Management Processes and standards to ensure high performance.
  • Initiate and lead activities that help to increase satisfaction, motivation, engagement and retention.
  • Continuously evaluate current programs, processes, procedures for better or more efficient ways to do things and implement changes that benefit the organization, employees, and HR team.

Background & Skills


The ideal candidate possesses these skills.

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources or another relevant academic background is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience as an HR Generalist and preferably come from a global industrial environment.
  • You identify and resolve issues independently, and you will show initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances.
  • As a person, you have a high level of empathy, and you are a people person.
  • You have a global mindset and outstanding communication and presentation skills to efficiently communicate across all levels in the organization.
