SUMMARY
Oversee forecasting, planning and analysis process for a $1B portfolio. Collaborate with leadership to complete planning and budgeting, prepare operational variance analysis, and provide standard and repeatable financial data/reports to support current and long-term decision making. Provide leadership recommendations on improving existing systems, tools, and processes to enhance productivity and strategic insight.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:

  • Prepares financial and strategic plans for individual departments and the wider organization.
  • Builds annual budgets and forecasts for different business units and consolidates into one master budget.
  • Creates financial models to predict future growth and performance.
  • Creates and builds analysis models to account for a variety of cost scenarios, including what-if analysis, threshold variances, and burn rate evaluations.
  • Analyzes previous budgets and forecasts and performs variance analysis to explain discrepancies.
  • Evaluates new and existing projects, investments, and assets to determine their validity and appraise their value.
  • Imports, converts, extracts, and compiles data and documents from existing and new applications.
  • Develops customized reports from data sources to extract and collect data in support of leadership and business needs.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
No supervisory/management authority.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master’s Degree in accounting, finance, information technology, or other related field, and at least 10 years of work-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience implementing software required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in finance/accounting.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products and other business analytics systems and tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of forecast, planning, and analysis process and tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, and performance management software.
  • Advanced knowledge of Costpoint ERP system including the Projects and Planning applications.
  • Advanced knowledge of OneStream financial planning software.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to brief stakeholders and leadership on financial results.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain processes that scale as the business grows.
  • Ability to read and understand financial statements.
  • Ability to be proactive rather than reactive in execution style.
  • Ability to use creative and critical thought in the development of analyses.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations with poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, plan, and set priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to execute work proactively.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a federal background check and a drug screen

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting.
