Description:

Our client is looking for a Sr Desktop Technician to work onsite in Hampstead, MD. This person needs to have 3-5 years of IT experience. The Desktop Technician will manager the for the distribution center.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve all software and hardware calls/support tickets that are assigned to the team.
• Coordinate work closely with the IT Help Desk and other IT departments to ensure an efficient and effective support process.
• Assist in the development, documentation and communication of better practices and procedures and techniques to ensure that the team is providing the best possible service to our customers.
• 2nd level desktop support for corporate and warehouse workstations in the distribution centers.
• Interact professionally with clients exhibiting strong customer service skills.
• Support of automated sortation systems.
• Support of mobile computers and label printers. MDM
• Install and configure new PC hardware and software.
• Develop, prepare, tests and deploy hard drive images.
• Perform basic computer wired and wireless network troubleshooting.
• Coordinate warranty service where applicable.
• Provide on the job training for less experienced technicians.
• Provide timely project updates and status reports.
• Maintain a high level of proficiency in using helpdesk systems and tools.
• Track and maintain personal computer equipment inventories.
• Tests new hardware and software.
• Instruct clients in the basic use of approved hardware/software.
