Job description

The Royal Group (TRG) currently has a position open for a Production Spray Painter in Sidney, Ohio. The Production Spray Painter is responsible for spraying machines, products, and work areas with decorative or protective paint using a spray gun. Spray painters prepare all surfaces before spraying, select and mix the coating liquids, and expertly spray each layer to ensure an even coating.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:

• Read and understand blueprints/drawings.
• Follow company safety, quality and plant rules and regulations.
• Mixing and air spraying paint per standard requirements.
• Grinding and assembly as needed.
• Paint preparation.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Maintains positive working relationship with employees and peers.
• Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.
• Additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Vocational/technical certification, preferred.
• Fabricating/welding, preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Spray painting/mixing.
• Paint cleanup.
• Ability to learn and follow instructions.
• Read blueprints/drawings.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from local management team.
• Ability to communication through written and verbal language.
• Able to read liquid measurements with speed and accuracy.
• Able to calculate figures, ratios and amounts, measurement, volume, and rate.
• Able to apply concepts of high school math.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Welding, fabricating, and forklift preferred but not required.
