This is a hybrid position with some travel in the state of Virginia.

Job Summary

This is an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the growth of a rapidly growing Orthopedic practice by transforming the Sports Performance function from a regional structure to a unified, organizational value-adding strategic partner. This person will lead the sports performance team and be responsible for driving culture and alignment, developing and executing an effective talent strategy, integrating acquisitions, and promote change initiatives.

Primary Functions and Accountabilities

• Overall leadership responsibility for the Sports Performance functions of our dynamic and rapidly growing organization.
• Develops and implements the Sports Performance strategic, performance, and operating plan consistent with company goals and objectives.
• Provide Sports Performance expertise required to successfully assess and integrate acquisitions
• Leads effort and provides advice and support for the development, implementation, oversight, and evaluation of Sports Performance systems.
• Formulate career development plans to facilitate employee growth.
• Promote inclusion in the workplace and reinforce our position as an equal opportunity employee
• Creating new training and development programs.
• Contributing to a healthy corporate culture that supports growth and equal opportunity.
• Brainstorming and implementing incentives that increase staff morale and productivity.
• Builds strong relationships with physicians, leadership, and management in support of company vision.
• Presents when needed to the Board, executive committee, and Shareholder meetings.
• Responsible for the development of the Sports Performance budget.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Travel is required for meetings within the state

• Undergraduate degree is required; BSc/MSc in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology or relevant field; Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS); advanced degree including, ATC or DPT is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience serving as a Strength and Conditioning Coach, Sports Performance Manager preferred
