Job description

We are seeking a SPEECH THERAPIST in Antigo, WI at Aspirus Langlade Hospital who administers therapy programs for referred patients with developmental deficit; physical injury, illness, or disability; and injury prevention or health promotion in coordination with other SLP's and other health professionals. The SLP provides direct patient care including assessment, development of the plan of care, treatment, documentation, and patient education to clients of all ages. He/she directs patient participation, progression, and discharge in accordance with clinical best practice guidelines and within the scope of SLP practice to restore, reinforce, and enhance patient performance and function. Reports administratively to the Director of Therapies and medically supervised by a provider appointment by the Medical Staff.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduation from an accredited school of Speech-Language Pathology.
• Ability to evaluate and provide treatment to patients with communication, eating/swallowing and cognitive disorders.
• Review and interpret video swallow studies and provide Rx recommendations.
• Current Wisconsin licensure to practice Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Current CPR certification required.

Hours: 64 hours every 2 weeks – day shifts. On-call is as needed and able.

Aspirus Langlade Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital located in Antigo, Wisconsin. The hospital admits 1,300 inpatients annually with 62,000 outpatient visits each year. The Emergency Department has more than 12,000 patient visits each year. We average 180-200 births per year and perform 1,500 surgeries annually. The hospital holds The Joint Commission-National Quality Gold Seal Approval.
