Hoover City Schools and Spur Staffing are searching for dedicated Special Education Aides for the new 2022-2023 schools year, aides would report to their assigned school until the end of the school year in MAY 2023. This position will be assisting teacher and students in the classroom through out the day, not only with behaviors but with class work as well. You would report to work to the same school for the entire school year Monday-Friday. All Aides are expected to punctual, professional & patient. The pay for this position is $16.04 an hr.

Duties expected of this position are:

• Must be able to work 7am-3pm some school hours are later.
• Must have prior experience working alongside children, individually or in a group setting.
• Working alongside teachers and staff in their day-to-day activities with special needs students.
• Must be able to assist with basic grade school level classwork.
• Prior knowledge of an IEP is favorable.
• May be expected to escort or walk students to different activities within the school.
• Be able to adapt to different and changing behaviors.
• Must be open to helping new students with different needs as they may arise.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a State of Alabama Background Check ($50.00 one time fee)
• Required online training

Compensation

• This position pays $16.04 per hour
