The Opportunity

Support the Sourcing team to increase team project capacity and productivity by:

• Facilitate product development to decrease time to market
• Manage suppliers and agents for long-term growth and partnership
• Maintain Ballard's established Sourcing business while working to increase quality, standards, and margin for the assigned area

Your Impact

• Work Group Meetings – maintain dates through each week on each WG report, and come prepared to each meeting with full updates
• ELC Chart – either enter all data and ensure that all data is entered by the Sourcing Assistant; check all entries for correctness.
• Sourcing's product development process and routine for the respected area of assignment; see Sourcing flow chart for each step of responsibility
• Train and maintain training established with each vendor, agent, and forwarder regarding Ballard routines (i.e. drop testing, factory evaluation, all aspects of PD routine, emails, labeling/ packaging, quality standards, new vendor training, vendor compliance, trips …)
• Maintain all reports to keep projects organized and updated – project summary, PD packets, accurate spec sheets, Work Group reports, ELC chart …
• Trips – perform all Sourcing routines surrounding trips (preparation for, note taking, samples orders, action list for each vendor and agent meeting, drop testing, email out trip notes for each meeting, lead the team through itinerary …)
• Trip Follow-up – perform all trip follow-ups promptly. Track order samples, and work line by line through the trip notes to ensure each task is completed

What You Bring

• 2+ years of Sourcing/Merchandising experience
• International and domestic travel is required.

Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
