Job Description


The Sourcing Projects Leader manages supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, onboarding and order-to-pay processes for assigned sourcing projects and programs in indirect materials & services spend categories like IT, MRO, marketing, HR, facilities, travel, etc. This role can be based in Cleveland (OH), Greenville (SC), or Hendersonville (NC).

In this role you will use your experience and expertise to solve problems, drive processes and develop and execute objectives for self and others. Tasks include:

  • specifying requirements for a material or service,
  • charting the supply base for those materials or services,
  • issuing requests for information, proposals, or quotations (RFx) to suppliers,
  • evaluating supplier proposals and leading the supplier selection process,
  • negotiating terms, conditions, and contracts with suppliers,
  • implementing and executing agreements,
  • managing supplier onboarding and order-to-pay processes,
  • maintaining supplier relations, and developing sourcing strategies.

Cross functional internal communication and collaboration are critical. You will work with departments requiring materials and services (HR, marketing, finance, technology, etc.), and with those supporting sourcing processes (e.g., order desk, shipping & receiving, accounts payable, legal).

Results are measured through timely service to the organization, continuous improvement, risk mitigation, negotiated savings and cost avoidance.


Qualifications


A successful candidate must be able to work independently within a remote team, navigate a global organization with diverse cultures, manage multiple projects concurrently, deal with organizational pressures and ambiguity, set priorities and schedules, and offer attention to detail.

The candidate must be trusted to operate ethically and with integrity when conducting business with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Additional requirements include:

  • bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college,
  • strong oral and written communication skills,
  • demonstrated experience in negotiating, reviewing contracts, and proven quantitative, analytical, strategic skills.

Desired characteristics

  • master’s degree from an accredited university or college,
  • 3+ years of experience in sourcing, supply chain, or business-to-business sales & marketing, and
  • 3+ years of experience with SAP, Microsoft Office, and other workflow and collaboration software.

Compensation

The position has a compensation package inclusive of base, bonus (if eligible), benefits, 401k contribution, time off, recognition awards and more. This salary range is 83,00-110,000.
