SUMMARY

- Cost reduction projects implementation with support of VAVE initiatives.
- New supplier development

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement commodity strategy.
- Supplier sourcing：work as team member for NPD project including collect, analyze, summarize, and investigate the comprehensive technology and manufacturing capacity to qualify and develop cost competitive, socially compliant suppliers with matched capabilities to our product types and category.
- Supplier management: managing and driving improvement of suppliers' performance. Use supplier scorecard and quarterly supplier business review meeting to manage suppliers' performance on quality, OTD and logistic and cost competitiveness.
- Cost management: negotiate and finalize costs with suppliers on existing products, manage RFQ process for new products and drive suppliers to meet with target price set by business plan. Develop and implement cost reduction programs to drive continuous improvement of productivities. Implement yearly saving plan for competitive cost, this may include commodity sourcing strategy definition, price analysis and negotiation, make VS buy/outsourcing evaluation skills.
- Contract management: negotiate with suppliers on payment terms and supply agreement. Take responsibility for managing commercial terms of supply and implementing supply agreements through the commodity management function.
- Work to build strong ‘out of the box’ supplier relationships to support value added processes to support Ameridrives.
- Ensure you and your responsible area / team do not get an environmental, health, safety or fire accident.
- Other tasks assigned by supervisor with business movement.
Job Requirements:
Critical Competencies
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and project management skills
- Good understanding of process tools, leadership tools and problem solving tools.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor diploma required ‘OR’ Substantial Project Management, Sourcing experience.
- At least 2 years purchasing management experience, good understanding on commodity and supplier management, good technical and engineering understanding is preferred.
